James Lahey is what’s next! His latest show, entitled Guido’s Rhombus, is being exhibited at Galérie de Bellefeuille, October 8 – 19, Montreal. I went to the opening expecting that we would talk about his art, but instead Lahey cracked a joke about a talking dog and greeted everyone who walked in with a beaming smile. And he’s right – socializing is what “meeting the artist” is really about. So what is Guido’s Rhombus about? It’s about one artist paying tribute to another artist, in this case Lahey fulfilling a promise he made to Guido Molinari in 2003. The promise was to “work from the point”.
The interview? It’s happening today, probably over the phone. So keep posted!
